Meet our Directors

Elkins Middle School Band Director Jason Baker has put together a great band program for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

While the 6th and 7th grade bands play in band class and have several concerts each year, the 8th grade band is responsible for marching in several local parades and perform at middle school football games.

Mr. Baker's program teaches students the fundamentals while preparing them to move up into the high school band program.

The EABA would like to thank Mr. Caplinger for his hard work and dedication to the EHS band programs. We wish him and his family the best as they leave us to take new jobs in South Carolina.

Joseph Bowen Named EHS Band Director
After one year as Elkins High Schools Assistant Band Director, Joseph Bowen has been named Band Director at EHS. Mr. Bowen is a graduate of Glenville State College with a degree in Music Education. Mr Bowen lives in Philippi with his wife, Heather, and three daughters, Katelyn, Gracie and Kylie. The EABA welcomes Mr. Bowen and his family to EHS, and looks forward to an exciting season.
